Note Worker is the fourth studio album by guitarist Frank Gambale, released in 1991 through Victor Entertainment and reissued on 24 April 2001 through Samson Records. The album is Gambale's first release to enter the . Billboard charts, reaching No. 25 on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Albums. It remains the last studio album to feature his own singing.

Gambale in the early '90s was not a strong enough composer to contribute all of the music to his own sessions (as he does here) and, despite some fine guitarwork and plenty of flashy fire, this is a lesser effort.

Gambale's sweep picking technique is in top form on this recording and was the album that Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead heard in his car while driving along one day when he heard Frank playing for the first time he said "I nearly drove off the road!!".

Gambale on the smooth jazz side on his 5th album. Some beautiful guitar work throughout, as we have come to expect from a guitar virtuoso pioneer. Also featured are some wonderful vocal songs in the vain of Steely Dan.

In the 1980s, he released two studio albums (Brave New Guitar and A Present for the Future) and a live album. In 1988 he released Monster Licks & Speed Picking through REH Publications, and later reissued in 1994 through Hal Leonard Publications. This was the first of his many instructional videos and particularly the first book to be written on the subject of sweep picking, now a widely-used guitar technique.
