Drastic Plastic Tracklist.
Drastic Plastic is a music studio album recording by BE BOP DELUXE (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 1978 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Drastic Plastic was the regrettable swan song album for Be Bop Deluxe; Bill Nelson had seemingly exhausted his contributions for the band. The music was heavily electrical for sure, but the album has a combination of wonderful songs which, whilst are not prog per say, did nonetheless show expe.
Be-Bop Deluxe were an English progressive rock band who achieved critical acclaim and moderate commercial success during the mid to late 1970s. The band's sound emerged as a mixture of glam rock, prog rock and straightforward rock and roll. Science fiction imagery was common in the lyrics, along with the more traditional themes of love and the human condition.

Be Bop Deluxe - Drastic Plastic (1978) Drastic Plastic was the 5th studio and swan song album for England's Be-Bop Deluxe marking the end of a great album run. I am a big fan of Be-Bop Deluxe and think that all of their albums deserve a lot more recognition than they received. I really think that Bill Nelson is a real musical genius and his well crafted Be-Bop art rock music was ground breaking and surprisingly still does not sound outdated ! Musically I guess this veered between glam rock, pop, prog and heavy metal.

Drastic Plastic is the last album by art rock band Be-Bop Deluxe, released in February 1978. Drastic Plastic was recorded in Chateau Saint Georges, Juan-les-Pins, in the south of France in the summer of 1977. Nelson recorded the album in Chateau Saint Georges, because he was inspired by the relation of the place with artist Jean Cocteau, who influenced him in the 1960s.
