Description

Bob Dylan : Time Out of Mind,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен.

Modern Times is the 32nd studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on August 29, 2006 by Columbia Records. The album was the third work (following Time Out of Mind and "Love And Theft") in a string of albums by Dylan that garnered wide acclaim from critics. It continued its predecessors' tendencies toward blues, rockabilly and pre-rock balladry, and was self-produced by Dylan under the pseudonym "Jack Frost".

Redirected from Million Miles (Bob Dylan song)). Time Out of Mind is the 30th studio album by the American musician Bob Dylan, released on September 30, 1997, by Columbia Records. It was his first double studio album (on vinyl) since Self Portrait in 1970

The good news: It's successful. A new movie chronicling the life (or rather lives, as the trailer touts) of Bob Dylan will be arriving in theaters this November. It’s called I’m Not There. Time Out of Mind was the first time that Dylan truly got personal. Up to this album, Dylan tended toward casting himself out of the lens of his listeners (with the obvious exception of Desire’s Sara, about parting ways with his ex-wife). He had wanted to shine on the subjects he was concerned with. Every man has only so much to say though. Oh Mercy would spotlight the last of Dylan’s political and worldly woes. Time Out of Mind would refocus his listeners’ lenses into Dylan’s own skull. The effect of Time Out of Mind is mesmerizing.

He was the same producer who worked with Dylan on his 1989 "Oh Mercy" album (an album which I personally think is even better then this one) which many people hail as the beginning of Dylan's comeback musically after earlier albums he had released during the '80s that didn't do so well. Whether that is true or not this altogether is up there among the best work Dylan has made in his long career. Maybe not quite in the same league as "Highway 61 Revisited" or "Blood On The Tracks" or some of his earlier albums but still a major contribution from his. Time Out of Mind reinforces Dylan's legacy as the minstrel poet of his generation. Highly recommended and destined to be among Dylan's most enduring works. In my humble opinion.

Bob Dylan released 'Time Out of Mind' on September 30, 1997. Partly inspired by his own mortality, partly inspired by his own mythology and partly inspired by whatever goes on inside Bob Dylan’s head, Time Out of Mind is a milestone in a career that’s had plenty of them over the past five decades. But it’s not like the then-56-year-old singer-songwriter was at a total career standstill at that point. After stumbling through most of the ‘80s with one mediocre record after another, Dylan teamed up with producer Daniel Lanois on 1989’s Oh Mercy, his best album in at least a decade

Time Out of Mind is Bob Dylan's 30th studio album, released in 1997 by Columbia Records. For fans and critics, the album marked Dylan's artistic comeback after he struggled with his musical identity throughout the 1980s, and hadn't released any original material since the release of Under the Red Sky in 1990. Upon release, Time Out of Mind was hailed as one of the singer-songwriter's best albums, and it went on to win three Grammy awards, including Album of the Year in 1998. It also made Uncut magazine's Album of the Year. The album features a particularly atmospheric.

Time Out of Mind was a commercial success for Dylan. It was widely hailed as Dylan's comeback album and . sales soon passed platinum and stayed on best-selling charts for 29 weeks. In UK the sales passed gold. The album, in other countries also, managed to secure positions on best-selling charts and remained there for several weeks.

Mine is nearly perfect (which is uncommon with new pressings these days). The sound is excellent as well. Worth picking up.

There seems to be some confusion about this release. To clarify: the main double LP is the same as the 2014 Music On Vinyl reissue, which is excellent. It's probably digitally sourced but that doesn't matter as it sounds great. The 7" is exclusive to this release. The LPs are really well pressed, too; a couple of minor imperfections but nothing serious and all in all it sounds great. Well worth going for.

They just used the MOV master, which propably isn't made from the original tape but a digital source.

I do not understand anything. Is it worth buying this 2017 reissue on vinyl or not? What is the sound quality of this LP? Honestly, I like the sound of the first CDs from 1997.

Musicfreak98 It's definitely a legit pressing. I believe that Sony (or whoever owns the Dylan catalogue) loaned out the rights to Music On Vinyl for the first reissues of a lot of his albums but they've recently started rereleasing the Dylan catalogue on their own Legacy imprint using the plates that MOV made for their reissues, hence the same matrix details. Over the last couple of months they've rereleased a load of Dylan albums on Legacy and they all have the MOVLP matrix details, I have a few of them myself. How does your copy sound by the way? I need a copy of TOOM on vinyl and debating if I should go for this new one or the 2014 Music On Vinyl release. I would say go for this release as it appears to be the only one with the extra 7 inch record. The vinyl itself is exactly the same - same plates, pressed at the same plant. This release sounds great. Definitely nothing to be "irritated" about as somebody posted above.

It's not odd or fishy. Sony/Columbia and MOV share metal parts for lots of Dylan releases on vinyl.

They sound exactly the same hence being irritated over this. But if this true then it clears up a thing or two.

MOVLP on deadwax. Doesn't say anything about music on vinyl on the cover or label. Bit odd.

I've been in contact with music on vinyl and they said that they have nothing to do with this pressing..
