The Zombies rode the British Invasion wave like many of the bands that weren't the Beatles or the Rolling Stones: by having a couple of early hits and then fading into the corners of rock 'n' roll history. But then their story took a detour along the way. After they recorded their second album Odessey & Oracle in 1967, the Zombies became discouraged by dwindling commercial success and called it quits. A few months later, the LP – earmarked as a permanently shelved record made by a band that nobody seemed to care about anymore – found a famous champion at the record company.
In 1969, the Zombies landed their biggest hit with the moody, light psychedelia of "Time of the Season," but it was too late for the group to enjoy it much, as they had been broken up for over a year when the track from Odessey and Oracle belatedly took off on American radio.
Here are 10 of the best known and best loved songs by The Zombies. 10. "I Want Her She Wants Me". The harpsichord is featured prominently on this infectious tune. There is a sunshine pop quality to the track as well, and it is a great example of how the band can deliver light and breezy fare as well as more intense jazz inflected material. This is one of the few Zombies tracks where the guitar sound dominates. There are also some sustained organ chords that bleed through the mix but this hook-laden, rhythmic gem is all about the vocals and guitar. Written by bass player Chris White. 8. "I Can't Make Up My Mind". From the band's first album Begin Here which was released in the US as simply The Zombies, this is a showcase for Colin Blunstone's vocal prowess. His tone goes from breathy imploring to an edgy attitude all in the course of a single line. An early gem. 7. "Care of Cell 44".

The Zombies are one of my favourite bands of alltime and sadly they really only released a few albums in their short life. a few that unless you own the Zombies box set you likely have not heard before.
