Текст песни: I got a good-rockin' mama, yeah, and the way she rock is all right Got a good rockin' mama, and the way she rock is all right She rock me in the mornin', she rock me late at night Now, don’t you want to rock? .

John Lee Hooker was an American blues singer and guitarist who recorded from 1948 to 2001. His discography includes recordings issued by various record companies in different formats. The Detroit Years (recordings 1948–1955). 1959 – House of the Blues (Chess). 1960 – The Blues (Crown) – early Modern tracks. 1961 – Sings the Blues (Crown) – Modern tracks. 1961 – Plays and Sings The Blues (Chess) – 1950–52 tracks.

Of my entire John Lee Hooker collection, this compilation album probably is the one JLH album I've played the most. None of the obvious big hits in this compilation, but every single track here is of the same consistent high quality and Hooker delivers the songs in the same mood, with the same raw energy, which makes this record a true joy to listen to. Right from the first track "Every Night", which is my personal favourite, to the last one "Want-Ad blues"
