Theatre of Hate (Revolution 1982) Rebel Without A Brain.

Theatre of Hate's unreleased second studio album, recorded in 1982, was released as Ten Years After in 1993. In 1994, a lineup of Brandon, Stammers, guitarist John McNutt and drummer Art Smith went into Mix-O-Lydian Studio in Boonton, New Jersey with producer Brad Morrison to record a new album under the Theatre of Hate banner.

Poorly remastered and lacking any of the sparkle that made Westworld so essential, Revolution probably did more damage to Theatre of Hate's reputation than anything else; the package needed to wait another 15 years before it was truly given its day in the sun, as the first volume within the band's Act archive collection. Theatre Of Hate, Revolution.

THEATRE OF HATE burned brightly on the London post-punk scene in the early 80s, performing a series of passionate, edgy gigs. In an intense two-year period they appeared on Top Of The Pops and had Mick Jones of the Clash produce their debut album. In addition to debut album Westworld, a Top 20 success, there were at least three official bootlegs released in an effort to combat the circulation of unofficial recordings, such was the quality of their live shows. The collapse of Theatre Of Hate did however clear the decks, leading to the formation of SPEAR OF DESTINY, Stammers and Brandon remaining as creative lynchpins.
