Orchid is the debut studio album by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth, released on May 15, 1995 in Europe by Candlelight Records, and on June 24, 1997 in the United States by Century Black. It was reissued in 2000 with one bonus track called "Into the Frost of Winter", an early unproduced rehearsal recording by the band. The recording sessions occurred at the old Unisound studio, in Finspång with production by Opeth alongside Dan Swanö.

Black Orchid is an album by jazz group The Three Sounds featuring performances recorded in 1962 and released on the Blue Note label. The 1998 limited CD reissue features other seven unissued tracks recorded at different sessions. It was also issued in Japan in 2015, on SHM-CD, featuring different bonus tracks recorded on the same sessions

Produced by Rodger Bain. Album Master of Reality. I never played acoustic that much at all really. I don’t even remember where we did that track, to be honest. I think the idea on the album was to have a bit of light and shade and relax it from the heavier stuff. Written By Tony Iommi.

Today marks the 10th anniversary for the beginning of Black Orchid! Although the band is currently in project status for now, we do have a full album close to completion that we have tentatively titled "Within a Dream. The album features an hour of passionate & emotive music that we cannot wait for you all to hear once finished to our satisfaction. We are funding this album ourselves independently, which is the main reason we are taking our time.
