The album was recorded on August 29, 2015 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and released by J&R Adventures on Blue-ray, DVD and CD on September 23, 2016. This album is a tribute to the "three Kings" : Freddie King (songs 1 to 6 of CD 1 and 8 of CD 2), Albert King (songs 7 to 11 of CD 1 and 1 and 9 of CD 2) and especially BB King (Songs 1 to 7 and 10 and 11 of CD 2), who was a mentor for young Bonamassa.

This record is it! Amazing, live, philly! This LP justly deserves to be heralded on par with James Brown at the Apollo or Same Cooke at the Harlem Square Club... especially for the Billy Stewart 'Summertime'. Summertime is one of the best live versions I've heard in any genre -- and even more so considering its age.

Live LP (sounds legitimately like it was recorded live, not the "fake live" with piped in audience applause). A virtual who's who of Philly soul artists in the mid/late 1960s. Includes an incredible, reverbed out version of "Summertime."

Though The Delfonics, Intruders and Ambassadors may have been from Philly, Billy Stewart and the 5 Stairsteps were from Chicago.
