Peter Frampton’s cult status changed rather quickly when the singer’s 1976 two record live set entitled Frampton Comes Alive began to break all previous sales records. The album stands as a cultural breakthrough in the arts as the entertainment business began to recognize the benefits of mass cultural marketing and success. The unbelievable commercial success of Frampton Comes Alive must have been difficult for Peter Frampton. Frampton’s follow-up album I’m In you proved to be another commercial success. Yet, critics panned the album as a sell out because of its very pop oriented single I’m In You. The critical failure of the motion picture Sgt Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band based on the Beatles album that’s starred Peter Frampton and the Bee Gees’s must have also took a toll on Peter Frampton.

Rock legend Peter Frampton is voyaging into a new genre. The guitar virtuoso has announced a new album called All Blues, composed entirely of blues covers performed by the Peter Frampton Band. I have always loved to play the blues, Frampton remarked in the album’s press release. When we formed Humble Pie, the first material we played together was just that. I’m not sure if you can say we had fun playing the blues. But we definitely did. You can see the album's track listing below. The song was originally recorded by blues legend Muddy Waters and has been covered by other vaunted artists like Etta James and the band Foghat. For his version, Frampton enlisted Kim Wilson of the Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Various Pop Songs, Vol. 52 (Karaoke Planet). Big Iron (Karaoke Version In the Art of Marty Robbins).
