Springsteen has subsequently released the albums The Rising in 2001 which reflects on the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the folk-styled Devils & Dust in 2005, the rock effort Magic in 2007, Working on a Dream in 2009, Darkness on the Edge of Town in 2010, Wrecking Ball in 2012 and High Hopes in 2014.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. Magic Tour Highlights. Overview (current section). 4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) (Live Version Featuring Danny Federici) - Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band.

The E Street Band, as well, has room to play-this is very much an E Street Band album, not simply a Springsteen record. It kicks off with Escovado's "Always a Friend To You," then swings into a stellar version of "Ghost of Tom Joad," through a rowdy "Turn, Turn, Turn," and into a powerful "4th of July, Asbury Park. It's hard to listen to this final performance without thinking of Federici (who made a brief return to the band to perform this number); that's unavoidable, I'm afraid  . Music of Magical Proportions.

Recorded in New Jersey, LA, Atlanta, Australia and New York City, High Hopes marks Springsteen’s 18th studio album and features the members of the E Street Band as well as guitarist Tom Morello. Morello joined Springsteen on tour in Australia in 2013 and became, as Springsteen says, my muse, pushing the rest of this project to another level. Clarence Clemons, who passed away in 2011, and Danny Federici, who passed away in 2008, also appear on several songs of what Springsteen calls some of our best unreleased material from the past decade.

The Magic Tour was Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's 2007–2008 concert tour of North America and Western Europe. The tour began October 2, 2007, in Hartford, Connecticut, and concluded August 30, 2008 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin  . The two first-announced legs followed the practice established during the 2002–2003 Rising Tour, of quickly visiting cities in North America followed by the same in Western Europe.
