Jig-a-Jig - Студийный альбом от East of Eden. В альбом вошло 16 треков.

East of Eden was a British progressive rock band, who had a Top 10 hit in the UK with the single, "Jig-a-Jig", in 1971. The track was stylistically unlike any of their other work. Although some might consider this group as being a symphonic progressive band, others state that their style is mostly jazz oriented.

This song is by East Of Eden and appears on the album Snafu (1970). The soundThe flutes of RamadhanThe timeThe palace at four . MusicOf branches of the nightPlayingThe city of Ramadhan.

East Of Eden were formed in Bristol by Dave Arbus, Ron Caines, Geoff Nicholson and Geoff Britton. They relocated to London in 1968 and were signed to Decca's progressive rock label Deram, releasing their first album "Mercator Projected" in 1969. East Of Eden were one of a number of groups who performed at the relocated Actuel Festival (October 24-28, 1969) at Mont de I'Enclus, Amougies, Belgium. Performances of this event, which was transmitted on French radio by disc jockey & producer Pierre Lattès and featured Frank Zappa as event MC, appear on the Jérôme Laperrousaz.

East Of Eden biography Formed in Bristol, UK, in 1967 - Disbanded in 1978 - Reunited in 1996. I think that EAST OF EDEN is a very good and worthmentioned prog rock band. They where formed in 1967 and signed with DECCA RECORDS around the year 1969. Their line-up included Dave Arbus (electric violin, flute, saxophone), Ron Caines (alto sax), Geoff Nicholson (guitar, vocals), Steve York (bass guitar) and Dave Dufont (percussion). There are eight tracks on the album, every single one has its own personality. Nymphenburger", which I consider the best track on the album seems to owe a great deal to musical traditions of Eastern Europe, as well as Israeli music with some blues flavoring at moments.

To draw attention to the LP - East of Eden and Deram popped out the non-album 7 single "Jig-A-Jig" in May 1970 and by way of slow radio play and build up - they eventually entered the UK charts in April 1971. It wasn’t long before they were giving it a bit of Rock-Fiddle instrumental on Top Of The Pops while Pan’s People danced about in scantily clad outfits to its cod-Irish rhythms (lovely).

East of Eden is the second studio album by Taken by Trees, the solo project of Swedish musician Victoria Bergsman. The album was released on 7 September 2009 by Rough Trade Records. Bergsman travelled to Pakistan to record the album, and several of the album's songs incorporate influences from Pakistani music. The song "My Boys" is a cover of the Animal Collective song "My Girls" with some minor lyric changes.
