Transatlantic is a multinational progressive rock supergroup consisting of Neal Morse (ex-Spock's Beard), Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings), Pete Trewavas (Marillion, Edison's Children) and Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater). They formed in 1999 as a side project to their full-time bands, but disbanded in 2002. They then reunited in 2009. Typical of the genre, the band's songs are often very long and regularly exceed 15-20 minutes in length.

Bridge Across Forever is the second studio album of progressive rock supergroup Transatlantic, released in 2001. For this album, the band attempted to balance each member's contributions more equally, because of criticisms that their first album, SMPT:e, was too dominated by the style of vocalist Neal Morse. Like their first album, Bridge Across Forever was well received by critics and progressive rock fans, though it had little mainstream popularity.

Territory Band is a Ken Vandermark project, utilizing eight musicians and allowing him the opportunity to "spread out" a bit, both in compositional style and in deeper investigations of free improvisations within a larger group. Transatlantic Bridge features four longish compositions (each dedicated to a visual artist), with the first two falling into a more jazz-like group and the latter two edging into riskier areas

Bridge Across Forever is a music studio album recording by TRANSATLANTIC (Symphonic Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 2001 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. This album took 10 days to record. I don't want the band members to leave their original bands, but it would've been interesting to see what this band could've achieved if it was a "real" band. Bridge Across Forever" is even better than Transatlantic's debut, and they now sound more like a real band than a project. The album has everything you can wish for from a progressive rock release.
