Lyrics to "Man In The Mirror" song by Michael Jackson: I'm gonna make a change For once in my life It's gonna feel real good Gonna make a difference Gonna. As I turn up the collar on My favourite winter coat This wind is blowin' my mind I see the kids in the street With not enough to eat Who am I to be blind Pretending not to see their needs? A summer's disregard A broken bottle top And a one man's soul They follow each other on the wind you know 'Cause they got nowhere to go That's why I want you to know. I'm starting with the man in the mirror I'm asking him to change his ways And no message could have been any clearer If you wanna make the world a better place Take a look at yourself and then make a change

Despite Jackson's anxious demeanor and shaky pop/rock presence, I'm the Man holds together quite well as his second attempt. Reaching number 12 in the . and a respectable number 22 in the . the album managed to net him a number five hit in his homeland with the insightful "It's Different for Girls," which revealed Jackson's adeptness at philosophizing and his perception of examining the sexes, a trait which would follow him throughout his career

Hi Jess There are two versions. The first recorded in London in 1966 with Pierre Tubbs as producer. This came out as a 45 on the UK Strike label. The Loma cut from 1968 is another recording from a New York session in 1968. As you've spotted there are differences.
