Snøskred are warm and sunkissed, extroverted and kaleidoscopic indierock with an engaging, eclectic and exuberant musical undertow. Songs range from bright and shiny to full-on noise rock with hints of shoegaze, often within the same song. The Trondheim, Norway, four-piece are inspired by many of the great indie artists from the nineties, but manage to bring something unique to the table, blending equal parts noise and improvisation in with their upbeat indie sound.

Following on from last year's great single "Puzzle", Trondheim, Norway four-piece Snøskred have announced details of their international debut album Empty House along with the video for new track "Lexington Hotel". Following their beginnings as a shoegaze act back in 2012 which led to the release of first album Whiteout, the Riot Factory-signed Norwegians are back with a startling reinvention of style and sound which bodes extremely well for the release of Empty House on 19 February

How would you describe the sound of the album? Snøskred: The inspiration for Empty House comes from all over the map. Afrobeat, 4/4 claps like they do in trap, glam rock guitar sounds, Morton Feldman-inspired piano chords, stories from various places and times. Most of all just being together with your friends in a room, trying out different ways of making music together. S: A desire to get to know ourself better as a band. Bringing in a fifth person didn’t make much sense at the time. Also: we cut a really good deal on it. O: Your video for ‘Lexington Hotel’ takes things back to basics, with the use of silhouetting. Is anonymity a concept that interests you amongst the usual showboating in the music industry?
